Mississippi Ave

This building was originally constructed as the support wing to a wood framed church that was demolished in 2005. The remaining concrete masonry building had good bones, but an awkward exterior and plan resulting from its previous attachment to the church. DMS improved the main façade by strengthening the existing rhythm of the window openings, and taking advantage of the large two story opening where the buildings were originally attached to create an expansive glazing area. Combined with plan revisions the result is an elegant, cohesive building that provides a functional and attractive home to the Trinity Academy.
