Dave has been practicing architecture since graduating from Syracuse University in 1987, working on both coasts and Alaska in the architecture and structural engineering professions. His strengths include distilling complex projects to clear, simple terms, which are expressed in his creation of efficient and functional designs. Dave’s additional experience as a developer, project manager, and residential/commercial rental property owner provides a well-rounded perspective for understanding and addressing client’s needs. He also has extensive knowledge of code issues, permitting processes, and bureau requirements, and has served as a member of the City of Portland’s Board of Appeals. Combined with his easygoing personality, Dave has applied this expertise to make DMS Architects a creative and successful architectural practice.
